One part of an individual plan.

Gait analysis focuses on movement rather than a single still moment. Observations can be considered alongside veterinary history, a physical assessment and your account of day-to-day activities. A short walk in an unfamiliar setting is one part of the story.

Technology, including EKICO gait analysis software, can contribute recorded information to that discussion. Measurements need interpretation: the surface, environment, handling and the dog’s confidence all belong in the context. No single recording defines the dog or determines their plan.

What shapes the conversation?

  • Changes seen at home and in different environments.
  • The context in which movement is being observed.
  • How repeat observations will contribute to decisions.

Questions you can bring.

  • What are you looking at when my dog walks?
  • Would a video from home help explain what I have noticed?
  • How will this information influence the plan?
