Insurance information
Make the paperwork more understandable.
Rehabilitation cover varies. A few clear questions can help you understand what your own policy requires.
Start with your insurer.
Ask your insurer whether the proposed care is covered, whether authorisation is needed and what limits, exclusions or conditions apply. The wording of your own policy determines your cover.
Please do not assume that a referral, an assessment or a particular treatment name guarantees reimbursement. House of Hound cannot confirm cover on an insurer’s behalf.
- Check any referral, practitioner or treatment requirements.
- Ask about available limits and any excess or contribution.
- Confirm the documents and timescales needed for a claim.
Invoices and clinical information.
An insurer may ask for invoices, clinical history or a report. The information required depends on the claim, and any sharing of clinical information needs an appropriate, verified process.
The centre’s confirmed process for requesting paperwork and any associated fees will be added before launch. Direct claims or payment arrangements are not promised in this preview.
For insurance companies.
The insurance enquiry area is designed to help insurers explain the information they are requesting and provide relevant context. Its current form is a local demonstration and must not be used for real policy or patient information.
