About House of Hound
The whole dog. The wider picture.
A multidisciplinary canine rehabilitation, movement and performance centre, shaped around the dog in front of us.
See the dog, not just the diagnosis.
A diagnosis gives us useful information. It does not tell us everything about how a dog moves, what they enjoy, what worries them or what everyday life looks like at home. Those details belong in the conversation too.
At House of Hound, assessment brings movement, function, comfort and emotional wellbeing together. Evidence informs the choices we make; your dog and your circumstances help shape a practical plan.
One centre. More ways to understand movement.
Our approach brings together veterinary physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, therapeutic exercise, gait and stance analysis, and a range of rehabilitation technologies. Assessment can take place on land and in water.
The purpose of having different tools is to make considered choices. A pool, treadmill, laser or piece of exercise equipment earns its place in a plan through the needs of the individual dog.
- Understand what matters to the dog and their owner.
- Choose an approach suited to their current needs.
- Review the plan as their needs and circumstances change.
Care that connects.
Rehabilitation sits within a wider picture of veterinary care and life at home. We want owners to understand the thinking behind their dog’s plan, and veterinary professionals to have a clear route into collaborative care.
Our educational resources, including Learn with Huxley, make room for the questions that often come after an appointment.
