A closer look.
A body-condition conversation works best when it reflects real life. Feeding routines, the people involved, food used in training and any current veterinary advice are all useful details. The purpose is understanding and support, not blame.
The veterinary team should guide individual nutritional and weight-management decisions. Rehabilitation planning can then take that advice into account alongside current movement, comfort and the activities available to the dog.
Questions to take into a conversation.
- Who will guide our dog’s nutrition and body-condition plan?
- How should we discuss treats used in sessions?
- How will activity goals reflect the advice already in place?
A Huxley explanation, in time.
