One part of an individual plan.

Land-based rehabilitation can involve a range of equipment and therapeutic exercises. The choice starts with assessment and a meaningful goal, rather than with a particular piece of kit or a universal exercise routine.

Home work needs to be understandable and realistic. An individual plan should make clear what has been agreed, what to observe and who to contact when something is difficult or changes. Online information can help you prepare questions; it cannot choose suitable exercises for your dog.

What shapes the conversation?

  • The activity or function an exercise is intended to address.
  • Your dog’s comfort, understanding and willingness to participate.
  • Space, flooring, time and support available at home.

Questions you can bring.

  • Can you show me what we have agreed and watch me try it?
  • What should I record or report between appointments?
  • How can we adapt the plan to fit our home?
