Huxley explains therapeutic exercise

An exercise is meaningful because of its purpose and suitability for the dog doing it.

A closer look.

Therapeutic exercise is considered through assessment and individual goals. An activity that appears similar in two videos may belong to very different clinical plans. A general guide cannot choose exercises or a schedule for your dog.

Home guidance should be clear enough to discuss and revisit. Ask for a demonstration of anything agreed, explain the space and support you have available, and make sure you know how to share difficulties or changes with the team.

Questions to take into a conversation.

  • What is the purpose of this exercise for my dog?
  • Can you help me understand the guidance we have agreed?
  • Who should I contact if the activity is difficult or circumstances change?

A Huxley explanation, in time.

Download the written guide and its questions as a plain text file to read or print. It is general owner education, rather than an individual home rehabilitation plan.
