Strength, conditioning & performance
Thoughtful preparation for the activities your dog enjoys, with movement quality and wellbeing kept in view.
One part of an individual plan.
Conditioning goals can look different for a companion dog, a working dog or a dog involved in sport. Assessment considers current movement, fitness, health, age, lifestyle and the demands of the activity, without assuming a dog’s abilities from a label or breed.
A programme should fit the individual and be reviewed as circumstances change. Performance ambitions belong alongside comfort, rest, confidence and ordinary daily function. The same whole-dog approach underpins both rehabilitation and conditioning.
What shapes the conversation?
- The activities and demands you are preparing for.
- Current veterinary history, movement and everyday routine.
- Recovery, emotional wellbeing and realistic owner commitments.
Questions you can bring.
- What should we understand before setting performance goals?
- How will you choose suitable work for this dog?
- How will progress and changing needs be reviewed?
