Cruciate disease: joining up the care plan

Rehabilitation makes more sense when everyone understands the veterinary plan and the household’s practical needs.

A closer look.

Cruciate disease may bring different decisions for different dogs. If surgery is involved, information from the surgical team matters; if another veterinary pathway has been chosen, that context matters too. A website cannot decide which route is suitable.

Prepare questions about what happens next, who is involved and how information will be shared. Rehabilitation discussions can then connect current movement, comfort and confidence with realistic goals and the instructions already in place.

Questions to take into a conversation.

  • What do you need from our vet before the first visit?
  • How will you take account of our current instructions?
  • Who will keep the different teams updated?

A Huxley explanation, in time.

Download the written guide and its questions as a plain text file to read or print. It is general owner education, rather than an individual home rehabilitation plan.

Connect this to your dog’s care.
