A closer look.
Stance analysis considers how a dog stands and distributes weight in a particular moment. This can sit alongside gait observations, veterinary findings and the owner’s account. It cannot explain the cause of a change by itself.
Posture, confidence and the assessment setting help give a recording context. Ask how the team will interpret the information and how it relates to other observations. The dog remains more important than any single number.
Questions to take into a conversation.
- What information can this add to the wider assessment?
- How will you account for the way my dog is standing?
- How might the findings influence our next discussion?
A Huxley explanation, in time.
