HOUSE OF HOUND | LEARN WITH HUXLEY Sample owner education · Website concept 03 Huxley explains stance analysis Treatments & technology What might a standing moment add to the picture of a moving dog? Stance analysis considers how a dog stands and distributes weight in a particular moment. This can sit alongside gait observations, veterinary findings and the owner’s account. It cannot explain the cause of a change by itself. Posture, confidence and the assessment setting help give a recording context. Ask how the team will interpret the information and how it relates to other observations. The dog remains more important than any single number. QUESTIONS FOR YOUR NEXT CONVERSATION 1. What information can this add to the wider assessment? 2. How will you account for the way my dog is standing? 3. How might the findings influence our next discussion? Discuss your dog’s circumstances with the veterinary and rehabilitation teams. Huxley doesn’t define. Huxley doesn’t diagnose. Huxley doesn’t prescribe. Huxley doesn’t assume. Huxley doesn’t stereotype. He empathises. He empowers. He educates. “See the dog, not just the diagnosis.”
