A closer look.
Food may already play a part in your dog’s training, enrichment or appointment routine. Let the team know about the diet, any restrictions and existing veterinary advice so these can be considered together rather than separately.
Weight management is an individual veterinary conversation, not a reason for blame or an online calculation of a food allowance. Ask how food used during rehabilitation can fit the plan and what details the team would like you to share.
Questions to take into a conversation.
- What dietary information should we provide before a visit?
- How can session treats fit our existing veterinary advice?
- Who should guide any proposed changes to food or body condition?
A Huxley explanation, in time.
Video footage is forthcoming. This is an image placeholder, not a playable video. The written guide is available now; a real House of Hound YouTube video can be added when supplied.

Download the written guide and its questions as a plain text file to read or print. It is general owner education, rather than an individual home rehabilitation plan.
