Huxley explains Class 4 laser

Understanding an equipment name without assuming it is the right choice for every dog.

A closer look.

Class 4 describes a laser classification. The label alone does not establish suitability, explain a clinical decision or predict an outcome for an individual dog. Those questions belong in an assessment-led discussion with the team.

If laser forms part of a proposed plan, ask how it connects to the other care your dog is receiving. Handling needs, veterinary history and the way the plan will be reviewed should be part of the explanation.

Questions to take into a conversation.

  • Why is Class 4 laser being considered in our situation?
  • What individual information informs its suitability?
  • How does it fit with the rest of rehabilitation?

A Huxley explanation, in time.
