One part of an individual plan.

The centre brings together EKICO gait analysis software and EKICO boots for assessment in both land and water environments. Their role is to contribute information to clinical reasoning, alongside the team’s observations and your knowledge of the dog.

A measurement is most useful when its context is understood. The clinical team considers recorded information alongside observation, veterinary history, the dog’s emotional state and your experience at home. Technology helps us ask more informed questions; it does not diagnose the dog by itself.

What shapes the conversation?

  • Which question the team hopes the assessment will explore.
  • How the dog responds to the equipment and environment.
  • How land and water observations will be interpreted together.

Questions you can bring.

  • What information will the software or boots record?
  • Why would you assess my dog on land, in water or both?
  • How will you explain the findings in everyday language?
