If your dog behaves differently, describe what happened, where it happened and what else was going on. A behaviour observation alone does not establish its cause, but it can start a useful conversation about the dog’s experience.
Ask the team how physical comfort and emotional wellbeing are considered together, and whether other professionals should be involved. The aim is to build understanding without deciding that a dog is being difficult or attaching a diagnosis yourself.
Bring this into the conversation
- What happened in the particular situation?
- What else had changed around that time?
- Who can help explore the full picture?
