Mobility changes: describe the moment

“Something looks different” is enough to start a useful conversation.

Mobility is part of many everyday moments: rising, turning, walking through a doorway or settling down. If one of those moments looks different, describe what you see and the setting in which it happens.

You are not expected to diagnose a movement change. Your contribution is knowing your dog’s familiar habits and sharing concerns with the team, who can decide what assessment or further information is appropriate.

Bring this into the conversation

  • What does the movement look like?
  • Where and when have you noticed it?
  • How does it differ from their usual day?
