Part of a bigger picture.

The underwater treadmill offers a setting for observing and working with movement in water. Its place in a rehabilitation plan depends on the dog’s assessment, the purpose of the session and their comfort with the environment.

Assessment in water can sit alongside observations on land and, where appropriate to the question being explored, EKICO technology. Each source of information is considered within the wider understanding of your dog.

What we consider

  • Treadmill walking in a water environment
  • Movement observation in water
  • Linked with land-based assessment

What to expect

  • Discuss why an underwater treadmill may be appropriate.
  • Consider your dog’s confidence with the setting and equipment.
  • Review observations in relation to their rehabilitation goals.
