Your first visit
A clearer picture. A shared starting point.
Your first assessment brings together the veterinary history, your observations and the dog in front of us. There is time to talk about what matters to you both.
What to expect
Start with a conversation.
- 01
Before you arrive
Share the information requested by the team and tell us about any questions, access needs or concerns about the visit.
- 02
Meet, listen and assess
Discuss your dog’s history and routine. The practitioner will explain the proposed assessment and the observations they want to explore.
- 03
Agree the next conversation
Talk through findings, priorities and any proposed next steps. Ask how guidance and updates will be shared with you and your vet.
Bring the everyday details.
A change on a familiar walk, the journey from bed to garden, or uncertainty around handling can all be useful starting points. You do not need technical language to describe what you have noticed.
- Your main questions and the activities that matter to your dog.
- Veterinary history, current instructions and medication information requested by the team.
- Details of your dog’s routine, home environment and equipment.
- Any relevant worries about travel, arrival or unfamiliar spaces.
A plan shaped around your dog.
Equipment and treatment options follow the assessment conversation. Your practitioner can explain why an approach is being considered, what the review process may involve and how your circumstances fit into the plan.
