HOUSE OF HOUND | LEARN WITH HUXLEY Sample owner education · Website concept 03 Huxley explains strength and conditioning Treatments & technology Preparing for activity starts with the individual dog, their health and the demands of the life they lead. Strength and conditioning can be discussed for different activities and ambitions. A dog’s age, fitness, movement, veterinary history and daily routine all contribute to assessment; breed or job title alone cannot set an appropriate programme. The conversation also includes comfort, confidence, rest and the practicalities of following a plan. Goals should be understandable and reviewed as the dog’s needs or activities change, with wellbeing remaining part of the discussion. QUESTIONS FOR YOUR NEXT CONVERSATION 1. What information do you need about our dog’s activities? 2. How will goals reflect their current health and movement? 3. How will rest, confidence and changing needs be considered? Discuss your dog’s circumstances with the veterinary and rehabilitation teams. Huxley doesn’t define. Huxley doesn’t diagnose. Huxley doesn’t prescribe. Huxley doesn’t assume. Huxley doesn’t stereotype. He empathises. He empowers. He educates. “See the dog, not just the diagnosis.”
